Watchful, polite to a fault, and burning underneath with an impatience she has learned to disguise as competence. She keeps a list, in her head, of every adult in Cinderfall who has lied to her and the date of the lie.
Her parents were the two fishers lost in the squall of '23; she was raised by a rotation of households and considers Jorin Berenger her real father in every way that matters. She has never been off the headland and dreams in the shape of the ship overhead.
She has decided, without telling anyone, that she will stow away on the first ship that answers the beacon, and she is already stealing small things to trade.
